Conference Status
NGOforum09 is organizied by The Forum for Voluntary Social Work in partnership with SERUS - Social Economy and Regional Development in Scandinavia.
The Conference is an official event accompanying the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU and is held under the official logotype of the Swedish Presidency.
Conference dates
The Conference is organized during two days: 27-28 of October 2009. There will be a reception for the guests that arrive to Örebro the 26 of October. Those that are registered to participate will get practical information about this event.
Registration
The registration is done through the website http://www.ngoforum.se Participants from non-profit organizations pay 35 EUR VAT included ~ 395 SEK. Participants from other organizations pay 170 EUR VAT included ~ 1915 SEK. After registration an automatic confirmation will be sent out. If this is not the case, please send us a mail.
The fee includes meals, coffee and social program during the conference days.
Accomondation is not included.
Accommodation
There are several good hotels within walking distance from the Conference Venue Conventum. Tips on those are available below.
Travel
Traveling to Örebro can be done in many way but we recommend three routes for our international guests: direct flight to Örebro, by flight and train to Karlstad or flight and train from Stockholm Arlanda. More info below.

Travel
General
There are three main ways to get to Örebro and Conventum in October. Either you book a direct flight to Örebro via Copenhagen (not many seats available), or you book a flight from Copenhagen to the city of Karlstad which is not far from Örebro (not many seats available), or you go via Stockholm/Arlanda. The train from Arlanda to Örebro takes about 2,5 hours

By way of Arlanda
The main way to fly to Sweden is to go by Stockholm/Arlanda Airport.
From Arlanda there are several train departures to Örebro, from 05.05 in the morning. The latest reasonable departure is at 21.25. The ride takes approximately 2,5 hours and the cost is between 14 and 35 EUR one way.
If you arrive by train to Örebro
Conventum is situated some 500 metres from “Södra station” the south station. Some trains stop here and at the central station.
From “Södra station”: Cross the road “Östra Bangatan” and follow the walk to the Scandic Grand Hotel. You will find Conventum (entrance from “Fabriksgatan”) at the left side of the Scandic Grand hotel.
From the Central station: Follow the walk along “Östra bangatan” southwards, go to your left over the bridge. Turn right into “Fabriksgatan”. Cross over “Rudbecksgatan”. You will find Conventum (entrance “Fabriksgatan) to your left.
